Another day.... (prepping for the weekend travel & Savage Century)
Tuesday - what a fantastic day of sorts. Work & commute sucked royally, but who cares about that when it's Early October, leaves are changing, and it got up to 80 degrees. Perfect spectacular weather!
Finished up my royal flush of a day of work and commuting and met up with a dear friend to bike about 20+ miles. It was just amazing weather. I wished I had packed my camera.
The rest of the evening was spent doing domesticity and planning/packing for this last Century ride of the season:
The Savage Century.
The Savage Century is one of those hits you "just below the belt" kinda Century rides that knocks you flat after you have spent the entire cycling season in full force...then winding down...then this fucker just kicks you in the junk. It's a low key event, albeit - brutal in the delivery. I'm prepared - sorta. All my ducks are in a row - all of which are angry at me for wishing to haul my ass up more mountains and cursing at the carbon fiber and titanium gods for more GU gel packs and powerade.
What I remember from last year was all the Amish buggys that I powered past while climbing the hills - giving each the peace sign (at least the amish kids know what a peace sign is, they signalled back).
Tomorrow will be a busy day of sorts, between my commute, work, and then back to teach a spinner class for 90 mins. Life is never dull. I need a little time off from this - and time to make some Pumpkin Soup and start finishing my damn cook book for the season.
Life is Fall Goodness :)

Hmmm...they might also think you are being silly and flashing bunnies at them (shadow puppets by firelight) :D
Have fun in your last blast of the season.
Be Safe!
