Pre-blogged on ThursdayOut of town doing the
Capital to Capital Century, will return Saturday afternoon.
Car packed for the weekend (short overnight in Richmond) - all preparations ready. Work was a dramafest - exhausting tho. I went to the gym tonight (it was raining like a mo fo - tornado warnings). Worked up a good sweat - last workout before my first Century of the season on Sat. Came home and packed like a frenzied nun on crack. Loaded the car, finished all my preparations - now just in for the evening to relax, watch a little tv....and just...chill.

Somewhat of a repeat of yesterday - just pure exhaustion. Work was fun filled with stupid drama. I took a nice hour and a half training ride out yonder, went to the gym for a hour and a half spinner class. Wiped my already tired ass out. But it was a perfect day - not a cloud in the sky, gentle warm Spring breeze, high 70s. Ran a few errands while coming home and started preparing/packing/organizing for the weekend of my trip down to Richmond for the Capital to Capital Century and my return to prepare a feast for Mother's Day.
Life is Exhuasting.
I must be in a funk. Maybe not - just exhausted to the brink of being in a funk. Work has been a little beyond stressful, my training schedule ramped up a notch for the beginning of the new season, pollen kicking my ass. This weekend, I'm doing my first Century of the season - Capital to Capital (from Richmond to Jamestown and back), a great inaugural ride for the season. It's a relatively flat fast ride - almost a Time Trial of sorts. I'll join my buddies and paceline the MoFo.
But crap - it's only Tuesday. I'm just exhausted. All the preparations and to make matters better/worse, is that I return after the Century and will be making a huge feast for my Mom on Mother's day. Just way too much stuff on my plate.
Today work was actually productive, ABBA left early for the entire day. And the weather was beautiful. I had to go to my leasing office to sign a new lease, but I sauntered off into the pollen saturated Spring sunshiny day to bike out to Purcellville. It was a wonderful ride. One highlight was the fact that there was a 10 mile stretch of the paved bike trail between Ashburn and Leesburg that was recently re-paved. It was long overdue.
Tomorrow will be another day - and exhausting. Suffice to say, I'm looking forward to my trip down to Richmond Friday afternoon and the Century on Saturday and the meal I'm gonna cook for my Mother on Sunday.
Life is Springlikeexhausting.
"....just another Manic Monday...."
Just work drama, then some, and a bag of chips. Rainy day, all day - went to the gym spinner class, great workout. Gotta love hearing Devo while hashing out the virtual hills. My mother called me to see where I was - it seemed that there was a police standoff (originally thought of a copycat to the DC sniper debacle, who is on trial today) - causing a huge snarl in the local area traffic. Gotta love worrysome moms. My heart goes out for the folks and their families who were implicated in that tragedy.
T'was a day.... Relaxing of sorts. Prepped for the workweek. Not looking forward to it. Nuff said.

The more I work, the more I want a farm with cows and chickens. Why do I keep going back?
