Woke up early with no cats sleeping on me (but was interrupted in the evening with a cat licking my hand which was dangling off the sofabed) - woke up early to a horrible nightmare of my family in volved in a tornado, while we were at the Kennedy Center watching a Kid Rock/Norah Jones concert...whas really fucked up.
Drove back with my parents really jonsing for a bike ride (two days without one...i was flipping out...lol). Stopped at an outlet mall on the way back - for one hour (I love that kinda shopping - quick and purpousfull), finally got me a replacement pair of sandles at the LL Bean Outlet Store (Merrell sandles...on clearance for $4.68 - total steal) and a pair of jeans.... That actually fit... 30" waist, 29" inseam.
Came back, didn't bother to unpack - threw on my bike gear, knew it was gonna be cold as shit, combined with gusts and light rain (maybe snow). I drove out to Vienna and biked out to Hamilton and back - solid 51 miles. Took me over 3 hours - I was tired as shit, muscles weren't working right not training for 2 days. It was very cold and windy, but I got into it. Sailed home, then ungeared - ran a few quick xmess shopping errands, came home, showered, grilled chicken, ate, unpacked, chilled for a stupid film on tv...now catching up on this silly blog n shit. Oh oh oh - and doing some last minute stuff to "package" my project. Slugs back a Silver Bullet.

Woke up with three cats sleeping on me after a whole series of nightnares with my family in Airline crashes. I have an aunt who has a lot of cats. To make a long story short, I stayed at her place (my aunts were taking turns "keeping me in"), staying at another aunt tonight. We had a quick breakfast, coffee and bundled up and went to a holiday parade (few of my cousins were performing in it) - it was really chilly. But a nice day - sunny, just windy and cold. Was nice to spend the day with my family again. I spent the latter part of the afternoon with on of my aunts cooking for another family get together. Lotta fun - more stories, laughs.
Wound down after family left - and spent the evening with one of my aunts catching up on things. Went to bed early - had to get up to meet parents to drive home.

Got up early to drive up North with parents to meet up with relatives For Thanksgiving. It was a blustery cold, albeit nice less-than-to-be-traffic-like drive all the way up. I ended up sleeping most of the way up (super tired from staying up the night prior trying to finish a special project [which I completed], yay!)
Met up with family and had a great time re-aquainting with a few i have not seen in years...and a huge feast (complete with the homemade pumpkin soup I had made last weekend - which turned out to be a huge hit) - lots of turkey, ham, stuffing, mashed taters, green beans, sweet potato pie, pumpkin pie, cake, mints, and TONS of stories, laughs, rememberences - and some photos. We were all thankfull. Wound the night down by hanging out with a few of my aunts and more stories ensued - lotta fun. Went to bed early.

Rainy Rainy Rainy day. Busy work day, finished another huge project at work. Decided to take a long bike ride after work - being that it is the eve of Thanksgiving, traffic would be horrific. It was drizzling, and had been raining all day. Took a chance. After about 20 miles into it - it began to pour cats and three toe sloths. Albeit, it was almost "warm" for late November - it felt nice. I think I only saw 3 other bike riders on the entire ride.
Got home, ate dinner - unpacked wet bike and gear - put away, spent an hour cleaning bike. Packed clothes and whatnot for my T-Day trip up north (will return saturday). Now time to work on my other project - what little time I can before I need to head to bed early to wake up early to drive up North for a few days (no blog posting until Saturday).

Twas a busy day, between work, cycling, domestic bliss preparing to travel North for T-Day, and working on my project.
Had a major deadline at work - one of those 1/4 million dollar things that had to be put to rest. We finished it - and proud of it.
It was a dreary Fall day, just sorta overcast and misting. Being that it was a Holiday week - lotta people were trying to leave town early for T-Day. I knew this was the case, when I biked over the bridge over the Fairfax County Parkway at around 6:20pm - nothing but pure headlights and tail lights in both directions for miles. Gridlock. I knew I should bike a little longer to avoid the combination of holiday traffic mixed with rush hour traffic - went on a 40 miler for a change. It was really misty and foggy - saw only 6 bike riders the entire time.
The drive home after the bike ride was miserable - difficult to see. Took me an hour to get home (ordinarilly 25 mins - when I leave late..to avoid rush hour traffic). Ate dinner, doing laundry...starting to pack for the T-Day weekend (supposed to be cold and rainy). Will miss 2 days of biking (not taking bike...will be too busy with family) - so will be in withdrawl. Will take in a ride on saturday afternoon when I return.
Time to work on my project, fold laundry and prepare for tomorrow.

Welp after the whole ABBA temper tantrum meltdown on Friday - he sort of has been avoiding everyone. He came into the office today - sorta hid in his office and kinda slunk around the office, not talking to anyone.
I had to go to an off site meeting for the duration of the day (which was a very productive and fun meeting). Came back, by then - the work day was over. Went on a bike ride in the drizzle - fo drizzle my shizzle. It was a pleasant ride - not too many people out.
Came home, ate dinner and started working on the finish part of this project. I'm about 85 % done - all the hard work is done, now just formatting to print. Complex.
Will be a short week - lots to do.

Beautiful Fall day. Slept in this morning (stayed up too late working on a project), then went and had my hair cut - later in the afternoon, went to Vienna to take in a short 42 mile bike ride. It was almost warm out. The trail was crowded. Right outside of Vienna near West Falls Church, in a suburban area next to the Capital Beltway, I look up ahead and OMG...a full sized 10 point buck (deer). There were tons of people around wondering...sheesh...this thing is lost. It looked scared and bewildered. There was a dude in front of me trying to hold back his dog on a leash in one hand...while taking photos with his cell phone in his other hand. Finally, the buck scampered off the trail. Twas way cool.
Start of a short work week tomorrow - Thursday is Thanksgiving. I will be out of town until Saturday with my relatives up North.
