Work was a shitty mess of drama that I refuse to talk about. I'm glad it's now the weekend. I spent time after work cycling for an hour before going to the gym and being on the spinner cycle for almost 1.5 hours before I launched into a Friday evening of errands. Picking up my cycling shorts at the dry cleaner (who has a tailor) - it was really amusing to see my cycling shorts in such a display of being wrapped in the regalia of if it were a frickin tuxedo (pictured). Got my hair cut and ran more errands. Spent the evening doing ordinary shit before I embarked on dissasembling, cleaning and re-assembling my bike before this next weekend's Century ride. Watched a few movies and just slummed it.
I guess I need a life. Oh wait. I have a life, I just need to stop writing about it.
(saw Claire Danes in the movie "Family Stone", talk about "My So Called Life" - farkin brilliant)
Life is beyond a keyboard and a $7k bike, no?
Was not feeling well today. Called in sick to my office for part of the day - they told me to stay at home all day. Suffice to say, I got alot of sleep and will be refreshed for Friday.
Hump Day. I'm glad today was better than the last few - and there's a weekend on the horizon. I was in much better spirits today. Not only the weather was spectactular, it was warm. Work was a busy dramafest, but I soldiered thru it.
I suited for the gym (it started to rain hard in the afternoon). I did a 1 hour warm up before the spinner class, which lasted about an hour and a half - tough workout, but pleasurable on many levels. In the end, I made some social plans with one of my spinner classmates - for later in the week :)
Came home and launched into my regular domesticity and preparation for work, dinner, water deck garden, a little tv.
Life is Spinnertastic.
Twas a beautiful day today, weatherwise. I refuse to talk about work anymore these days because it's just shitty sometimes. I think my mother once said to me "if you don't have anything nice to say...then don't say anything". So, I refuse to talk about my work (week).
Went on a long training ride - out to Purcellville and back. Was beautiful out...almost hot.
Ran a few errands on the way home, and spent the evening wrapped up in domesticity, watering garden, et al.
Life just moves on
Exhausting day - well, it was Monday. Work and corporate drama. Went on a quick training ride before my spinner class. It was beautiful out. Spinner class was just a few of us. Grins internally at a moment there. Came home late for an evening of a little domesticity, watering garden, dinner & a tiny bit of tv. I'm exhausted.
Was a beautiful day. Relaxed. Not ready to go back to work tomorrow. But life is Good.
