What a wonderful day :) Albeit, started out a little sore - but suffice to say with all the uncertainty of the stormy/rainy day the forecast told, it turned into a fantastic day. Life is Good :)

Woke up sick - utterly exhausted. I needed the day to recoop some sleep that I've been lacking in the past few weeks. And my body told me this. Called into the office saying that I needed to rest up, took care of business - then went back to sleep. Woke up in the late afternoon. The rest of the day was...let's just say...another day in my realm. Going to be a relaxing weekend - even if it kills me. Supposed to be a little rainy, but I plan to ride a few miles over the weekend. I just need to relax. Purchased a new cyclometer/heart rate monitor/altimeter/temperature thingy - I've been eyeing this thing for months, finally found it on sale. I wish I had it this season. I can use it for the last 2 Century rides of this season. At least break it in. Life is Fall-like

A very pretty and sleepy Fall Day. The temperature dropped and made for almost "leather weather" of time to break out the Fall gear, and winter cycling regalia. I resigned myself to a day of complicity and just soldiered on at work. Went on a short 25 mile training ride out past Leesburg, then went to the gym to do a little mountain spinner exersizes. It gets dark early now, yea - time to break out the lights (soon after daylight savings time, I'll only be able to bike in the dark during the workweek). Such is life. But... Life is Good :)

Hump Day. Wednesday usually means getting over the hump of the work week - well, today it was just another way to describe "humping up the hills of crisis management". Ha! It was a fast and furious day, total "balls to the wall" type of day. But as a result, the day sped by at lightspeed. Still recovering from the B2B, I am still sore, but was able to enjoy a great spinner class after work. The weather has become cooler - the perks of Fall, but reminds me to break out all of my chilly weather regalia. The picture to the right (was taken by Birds Eye View photography, hence the copyright) was taken at B2B - suffice to say, I was able to crack a smile. It's always funny to see these pics after these kinda events. I'm trying to wind up the week and relax, and hopefully have a relaxing weekend. I've had seemingly back to back cycling events since May - this weekend is good for Fall cleaning and a few fun things. Unfortunately, it's supposed to rain/thunderstorm a little - I'm hoping for good weather to enjoy a few cycling trips. Life is Good :)

Yea!, finished the 2006 Bridge to Bridge Century in Lenoir/Grandfather Mountain, NC. I am utterly exhausted from all the driving and the race itself, but it was a spectacular weekend with the weather and the race & comraderie. More explanation to follow in the next few days, I'm catching up on things before the workweek. In the meantime, check out this quick slideshow that I threw together (opens new window). Life Is Good!
