Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow....

Seems that is what it is doing. All day long, and all night tonight. I woke up super early - in preparation to do a training ride before the snow started to fly. Spent the morning on the phone with a few friends - all of whom suggested that I not go out there. And I was talked into not going. And I'm glad I didn't go. It was very windy, wet rainy snow - it woulda been a sloppy ride. And I don't need to risk getting sick (especially after JUST recovering from a wicked cold of 2 weeks).

So I flopped onto the sofa and watched a few movies, and a little of the Winter Olympics - fell asleep and napped most of the afternoon. Very relaxing. Hell, if I had a fireplace - it would have been the perfect weekend for that. Awoke and did a few things around the place before cooking a huge dinner - Linguini with a Genoa Salame and Chardonnay infused Shitake & tomato sauce, a light salad. Topped it off with a glass of Chardonnay. Then made myself some espresso and ready for the evening.

I finally ventured out to clear the snow off my car and prep it for the more inches of snow - turned windshield wipers up, covered the windshield, et al. Then I snapped a few pics (pictured). It's a veritable winter wonderland out there. I almost made a snow angel.

In for the night (wish I had a fireplace), to catch up on some bills, watch Flight Plan with Jodie Foster (she's such a cutiepie, bites my knuckles) - and just RELAX. Tomorrow will be a relaxing day before I meet up with my parents for dinner.

Life is SNOWY good.
