Twas a fantastic weekend - Easter today. No holiday plans, I haven't "celebrated" Easter since I was a child. So no drama to be told in that department. I spent the better part of the day cycling and time in my garden and cleaning up.

I had a rather unfortunate event in my kitchen after I had completely cleaned my kitchen. I was unloading my dishwasher, and the last item I took out of the dishwasher was my coffee thermos - one of those large caraf style thermos things that keeps coffee warm for 12+ hours - it exploded.

Literally. It made this loud ass gunfire sound and then I found myself completely covered in tiny shards of mirrored glass (good thing I wear glasses). The silver glass shards exploded all over my kitchen and into my livingroom and dining room. My first thought was about all the glass in my coffee maker, which I had just cleaned - drinking coffee and ingesting glass. Arrrggg!!!

Suffice to say, I spent the next 2 hours cleaning up all the glass shards and re-cleaning everything. Grrr! Afterwards, I took a shower (I still had glass all over me) and cleaned the bathroom then took a nap. Woke up in the early evening and ran to the store to get a few things for the week.

Sunday nights suck, but life is good.
