Difficult monday to get up and go to work after a three day weekend - but I trudged through the means to get there on time and bear with the morning drama. Was not so unpleasant. Almost cheerful, being that people were relaxed and happy after the holidays. Settled into a drone of catch-up, then was called to a quick offsite meeting in Washington, DC - which took all afternoon, came back - finished up a strategy meeting then suited up for a bike ride.
I had been keeping a watch on the weather all day - is supposted to be in the 50s and 60s all week (very unusual for January - we should be in the middle of snow and ice). It was calling for rain - and to be in the low 60s. I was still cool with that. So I suited up - and went out on a swift 42 miler - it was almost too warm for what I was wearing. I was preparing for the temp to drop (especially after dark). It din't. So I sweated it out.
Came home, had dinner and plugged in the computer fresh back from the shop (problem with video card) only to discover the problem is probably (now) the actual monitor. Spent the better part of the evening dealing with new diagnostic stuff, et al. Oy vay - will have to babysit this 'puder the next few days.

A friend of mine told me I've started to look old - in recent photos. Unsure if it was the goatee, the very short hair, the weight loss, the lack of tan, the pose with baby, or more than likely - the bad fashion. The baggy pleated pants. Heck, they were all gifts, who am I to not bless the fashion scene with a gift - well, pleats are out. But I need pants, heck, I shed merely 4" off my waistline in the past year, sobeit. These pics (sent by the same friend) prove that I am now an old fart, the pics illustrate that I was young(er) and stupid(er). One is from circa 1999, on Halloween - with my date "ms Adorable", i just look like a fool in that picture...dressed up as Austin Powers (a friend lent me her lycra clothes...they were soo tight..I spoke 3 octaves higher...my date was dressed as Coco Channel, typical lesbian delusion. Anyhoo...that night was a very long night. (click on photos for full detail)
