Happy Mother's Day to all!
I woke up this morning completely sore and still sunburned - I applied more aloe gel and went back to bed, woke up at about 12:30pm and popped a few advil and went to my community gym to do a stretch ride on the stationary bike. I was really stiff and sore - the stretching really paid off.
Came home and packed up all the provisions for the Mother's Day feast I was going to prepare for my Mom (pictured below), collected some flower clippings from my deck garden to bring (pictured on the dinner table), took a shower and then headed over to my parents house.
They are such a cute couple (pictured below) - and always appreciative of all the even simple things I do for them. It goes both ways. So we all chatted and laughed as I cooked dinner (I had pre-prepared the lobster and the asparagus, I just needed to make the pesto linguini and broil the lobster & asparagus). It was a great meal, and we finished up with with a Key Lime pie that I asked my father to pick up.
We had a great time and it's always wonderful to see them. We all said our farewells, and off I went to come home to finish preparing for the workweek, catch up with correspondence and watch a little tv - trying to relax before another drama addled workweek.
Life is Good!
