It seems to be like ages since I actually posted a blog. I've been busy of sorts. Now it's the weekend, and even more busy. To sum up, I've been doing a shitload of cycling, cooking, reorganizing...and catching up on Spring cleaning domesticity chores before the cycling season begins (soon).
Today, after a much delayed outing, I biked out to Purcellville today and up towards Lovettsville - great total of 58 miles. Was chilly as it can be, but beautiful - no clouds in the sky, pure blue.
I have seen a few films in the process of relaxation, recovery and destressing from my training rides - and cooking (more on this). Last night, I re-saw Punch Drunk Love, great film. Emily Watson is still fucking cute. Not to mention Pride & Prejudice - total girly period-themed romance flick, ack. So screw it, turned off the P&P and headed into the kitchen and scraped up some culinary fun.
Last night, I made a potato tart of sorts - was a fucked up glop of imagination. More of an excuse to use my new food processor. Recipe to follow (the pics of it are in the background in the below photos). I was unimpressed, but made for a great excersize in ... hell, using my new food processor. It baked fine and made my place smell yummy as I worked on what I was gonna cook tonight.
After I came home from my training ride and erands, I set out on a culinary journey of something simple:
Yellow Squash with Sauteed Pork in a Ginger Sauce(recipe soon to follow in my cookblog)

Those last two photos are of a post-it note art project that formalized recently onto the wall, making for a great backdrop.
Tomorrow I'll relax after my training ride out to Harpers Ferry, WV and back - then a full work week. Gonna be a stressful week of sorts. But Spring is a-coming. I look forward to the temperatures warming up and for the cycling season to begin.
Comments:
"fucked up glop of imagination" = FUGOI. I do believe you've coined a new term here. Sounds like goose pate!
I like the post-it series. Can you show more details of the panels for your reading audience? I can only imagine that 3M is looking for someone like you for commercials. Kinda like what Jared did for Subway :)
