What a busy day at work - just one thing after another. Was busy at on offsite meeting for half the day - but very productive. The weather went south again, became cold and rained all day. Unsure it's the weather or not - I'm getting one of those annoying sore throat tickles in the throat - probably from working with one of my colleagues who has been sick for over a week...grrr. I was not looking forward to the forcast for the rest of the week.

I finished up work and went out on a really frigid and rainy ride out towards Hamilton (36 miles total). I was almost trampled over by this huge deer buck - skidded to a stop as this thing trampled across my path - I suspect that my lights startled him. Came about 10 inches from hitting him.

I came home after a few errands and spent a long while cleaning and lubing my bike - the last time for this bike frame/fork. My new Orbea frame/fork comes tomorrow - I needed to make sure I had all my ducks in a row for the dropoff for replacement/fitting on Friday/Saturday. (how ironic, I also made arrangements to have my car inspected tomorrow...and for a lube job). (608 miles so far this year)

Next in line - a new wheelset - I have my eye on four sets, but I think I've changed my mind yet again - I'm thinking of these new wheels - they are fuckin cool: 2006 Mavic Ksyrium ES(click images for a larger image detail)
