On the way to work this morning, I already had the A/C on the highest level - it was going to be one hot day. Fortunately during the workday - I would be stifled up in A/C, but then the early evening in it biking hard.
Work was a busy one, new projects, and finishing up old ones...and new staff to "orient" (break in...ha). I finished up my work crap and geared up for my training ride - which was goping to be a long one out to Purcellville and back. When I left the office (with 2 frozen gatorade bottles), it was still 96 degrees with extra high humidity (rained earlier).

And a hot ride it was, albeit - filled with all sorts of sights and swarms of sweating people. I saw 3 turtles on the trail, 14 rabbits, 5 chickmonks, and 5 large snakes (stretched across the hot asphault - one was almost 7 feet long). In Leesburg on the way back - I was refilling my water bottles for the third time when a woman approached with the most cool dog, an English Bull Terrier (pictured right, click for larger image). I love those dogs - they have
cool written all over them. They never seem to bark nor yap - they just cool dogs. It's like they listen to Jazz all day and take life in stride. And that long fat snout - wreaks coolness. I petted this hot dog, he was just cool with that while I chatted with this woman - she wondered why the hell I was outside biking in this heat. (well, because I can). If I ever became a "dog person" - I think my dog of choice would be an English bull terrier.
The rest of this week is going to be isolated thunderstorms - Oh joy, lightning rod! Started packing and taking artwork down - time to get my crap together. Will be a busy few weeks.
