Finally had a chance to sleep in this saturday morning - I needed it after this week. I didn't get out of bed until after noon, then spent a while reading. Finally left the house about 2pm - it was a really beautiful day, was stupid to miss the first part of the day.

Drove to Vienna and embarked on a 44 mile ride towards Hamilton - was by far the worst windy day. Was thankful the temp was in the low 50s - but the wind was terrible.

The trek out took me about an hour and a half - then turned around, took only 45 minutes to get home - travelling at about 30-35mph. I was completely wooped when I returned.

A bizarre highlight of the trek was witnessing a domestic cat geting snatched up by a hawk - it was a sudden cloud of fur, claws, hissing and blood. Life in the food chain.

Finished up, ran a few errands - then came home, ate dinner, watched another shitty chick flick "How to lose a guy in 10 days", why do I watch this crap...for the obvious reason that the military does re-con...to spy on the tactics of the stupid sheeple.

I had to get away from that shit and go down into the basement, put on latex gloves...toss my 3500 dollar bike on the repair stand and lube it, head to toe...and talk to a friend on the phone while I tweeked the drivetrain....arrg these chick flicks.

Finished that up and wrote a letter to my classical guitar teacher (from 22 years ago) - he's now a colonel in the army...leading troops in Iraq ...just as a thank you...
